Category: SKU: TPI 101/102

Description

  • Power supply of the ticket printer,
  • Proper wiring of the door opening signals,
  • Appropriate connection and signal level of the speed signals,
  • Correct wiring of the IBIS communication lines,
  • Appropriate connection and signal level of the audio signals,
  • Optimal wiring and signal level of the speakers, displays, printer, microphone and doors

The tester is equipped with overvoltage and overcurrent protection for all inputs and outputs. Even if the connection points are incorrectly connected, the inputs and outputs cannot be damaged as long as the specified maximum voltage is observed.

1. Ticket printer power supply:

  • Measurement of ground, battery (24 V), and ignition signal (ACC = 24 V).
    • Measurement in mV!
  • ACC delay can be set in seconds.

2. Wiring of door open signals

  • Measuring and setting the door open threshold (min. and max. value in mV)
  • Measuring and setting whether the open signal is high or low
  • Measuring the door input 1, 2 and 3 signals in mV
  • Measuring the cumulative door signal

3. Speed signals

  • Measuring the inputs for each tachometer
  • Polarity of the speed signal (inverted/direct)
  • Analog amplification of the speed signal

4. IBIS communication line tests.

  • Passive test measures the commands on both master, and slave lines.
    • Read and display the commands.
    • CRC and priority control.
    • Message counter can be reset.
  • Printer test.
    • Unit simulating a display towards the IBIS bus.
    • If the printer detects a display and the printer is correctly connected, the test value is OK.
    • OK means the printer cable is connected. correctly
    • By OK might the inadequate fit to the IBIS/Display causing additional demand to setup the printer
  • Display test
    • Sends characters to the display unit
    • Editable
    • Unit simulating a printer towards the IBIS Bus
    • If text is displayed, you can be sure the display cables are correctly connected
    • Once the display does not work with your printer, you might have to check if the setup/characters used correctly
